Some of you may be interested in the Walden Hatchets which are rather scarce.Similar knives as well for comparison and an early Schrade Scallop <serrated> blade and a Tungsten Carbide.
Plus 3 X J.C. Higgins <Sears> Schrade Walden. The Walden diving knife mint with original sheath and box is what the word 'rare' should be reserved for.Even has spare handle!
I could become even more of a pest on here now I know how to post photos....Hoo Roo

and the rest....
Ostroker asked on Electrician knife thread how long I had been collecting Schrade.Only started in 2002 <used to collect British..BORING!> The secret was to start collecting before the tragic closure so I had 2 years start to accumulate and no-one wanted them then ...Walden's would go through the Bay quite often without a bid!!! Snipers didn't exist then and you placed a bid 2 days before if you wanted it and didnt really have to check as you would generally get it. Hoo Roo

:thumbup:Don't worry about being a "pest" on my part I could look at these knives for hours:D and dream/drool and wish I started collecting back (when?) any way very nice and keepem coming. I just passed on a hatchet the other day that had the Schrade Walden etch, light, no stamped tang:confused: wasn't sure so let it go, probably a mistake but lack of knowledge can kill the deal from my end!! The more I see the more comfortable and knowledgeable I become I do appreciate all you fellas willing to share your collections and knowledge so freely here!! A big THANK YOU!!;)

Makes me wish I didn't turn up my nose at Schrades when I was younger and into "fighting tactical type knives" :(. Back when you could buy them at nearly every local store.
