I have read several makers refer to their knives as being good "walk and talk" knives, what does that mean?

Thanks,
David

"Walk and talk" describes the action of the knife opening and closing. "Walk" being the feel and action of the tang (back of the blade that touches the spring) against the spring. If a knife has a half-stop, I think the walk includes the half-stop action as well. The "talk" is the sound of the knife closing. A quality slip-joint will have a nice sound and snap when closed.
