This weekend I was able to play around at my in-laws ranch (before trick-or-treating in town) and took a few pics of what I thought looked really great for South Texas this time of the year. Now, being a local, I'm looking forward to our "cool" winter and I'm sure you guys shoveling snow wouldn't mind our warm, green climate :p

Well.. I shovel snow for fun, sometimes until 11PM at night. Making a giant pile to play in with throwing sticks and such. I find it soothing

Oh, nice pics, by the way :D

Hey guys, thanks for replying :)

I live in Kingsville, I'm from Corpus Christi, but the pics were shot in Orange Grove :D All three places are 45 minutes away from each other. As for the fruit/edible stuff in the pics, the first really red ones seemed to be wild tomatoes although I didn't eat one to find out the hard way :o The following pic were little peppers I believe, those were everywhere but I didn't try one just in case it was something else. What's funny is that it was hot, dry, and yellow all summer and then all of the sudden we get our first front and everything goes green like spring :p

As far as rattle snakes, I wear chippewa snake boots exclusively unless I'm wearing slacks or steel toes for certain work areas :) I've never bumped into one myself, but family members have and I don't want to be caught unprepared, plus them chippewa's are comfortable
