I'm sharing some photos here of my recent aquisition from Andy. You may know it as the BLJ. Mine came to me with EIRW scales and red liners. This wood is super rich and dense, lovely dark color. This little blade feels super solid and the handle is very chubby which makes it feel much better in a two finger grip. There is a very slight thumb ramp on the spine which is welcome, although I wish there was a bit of jimping right there. This is a nice utility blade that is perfect for all your everyday chores. Very sharp, nice even grinds.

I received it packaged in Andy's seemingly trademark paper wrap with his card, and some cord for neck carry. Although I removed the cord and will carry it in my pocket.

Thanks Andy, its a winner. You offer some unique stuff! My next must have one of those GITD bullseye tubes!

I'm glad you like it bro.

Not to brag guys, but notice the forge scale left just along the spine, and the gentle way the grind transitions to the spine. Thems new skills. Go out and find a knife thats got a convex sabre grind (not done on a flat platten).

Its your forum you can brag all you damn want! In this case though its defintely warranted. Pretty spiffy grinding there guy..

Just you wait. I'm working on perfecting the convex sabre grind. Talk about challenging. I have 5 knives that are finished with grinding in the shop now that are just right. A Woodsman, Two Runts, and a couple more. I think its a really beautiful thing to see.

That EIRW is simply stunning. I'm in disbelieve that I don't have a Fiddleback with that wood on it yet. I cannot wait to see these other convex sabre ground blades!

Wow! She's a beaut! As usual with Andy's knives, it's hard to figure out which is better, the blade or the handle. That EIRW makes me want to rub it lovingly and whisper "My Precious".
