Any updates on whatever happened to the folder you were trying to get made by Matt Cucchiara with what I seem to remember being a badger attack? :confused:
 
Here's what I would like to do with this, if someone can sell me a BA3 for a decent price I will build it into a folder. That way if I screw it up or feel I need to make a change for whatever reason Iam free to do it. A scratched up or slightly beat knife would be great if it would save me a couple of bucks too:~) If you have one or know of one for sale please let me know. I have never been into fixed blades very much mainly because its tough to carry them everyday here so Iam not up on all the Busse models, though I have always loved the full belly grinds on alot of his knives. I would like to end up with a large beefy bad ass folder!

Honestly, I just never followed through. It seemed like a really fun and great idea at the time until some other cool Busses came up for sale. :rolleyes: I'm sorry for getting everyone and Matt hooked on the idea. Maybe eventually, but not quite right now. Also, I got the impression that Matt wants to make a 1/4" folder, but I'd really prefer to have a thinner slicing type of knife for edc chores.
 
maybe you guys should take up a collection ( ala a passaround) to raise the fund to buy one.
 
This is a go, I have a couple incoming to check out. When I get started I will try and post some in progress pics too.

!/4" INFI you say?

I had an idea about a DABA or AD/Rick Hinderer, FireTac, or perhaps a Bali set up.

But, both of these are much thinner than 1/4".

Got me thinking here.

1/4" folder, BA3 style? :eek: :thumbup:

Flippin awesome dude... rock on and let's see some pics! Thickest folder I've seen to date is the Buck/Strider, and it was 3/16". Damn thing was massive. Be sure to put some micarta scales on her, ya know just to be true to the man and his knives!

:o I stand correct Matteo, thanks! Yes, the BA3 is 3/16" isn't it? Ok a 3/16" INFI folder than... still makes one's eyes go wide with excitement.
 
I am guessing the folder will be a frame lock?
The frame will be of 6al4V Ti?
 
Hmmmmm .....

A Basic 3 or 5 would be 1/4", for really cool, how about a 4" PBF?.

All 1/4" and mostly able to fit into a pocket.

For a real mental image, think of a SK, OTF Auto.

That looks very promising!! .... and whatcha doing with the INFI from the handle? :confused: Enquiring Hog minds want to know. ;)

I think Matt should make a cool neck knife out of the INFI handle material, what'da think?
