I took my 12 year old out in the woods behind our house today after work. I showed him how to baton with the BK7. We also found a nice peice of oak that he is in the process of whittling down as I type this for a walking stick for his grandfather. Good Day!! I'll try to get some pic's to show everyone how he's doing. I couldn't be prouder:)!!

Yes pics please!!! I like walking sticks.

Two I made for a friends kids.

Those are nice.. My son's is a lot cruder than that, but it serves it's purpose. It was just good to see him out there whittling away. We'll make another this weekend, maybe stain it, then poly. I need to start posting pics... can't imagine it's that hard if everyone else is.

I'm sure it's fine. We all start at the beginning. He will take pride in knowing he made it with his own two hands. That's what counts. I can't tell you how many I've made. I still have a lot to learn.
