Walking Sticks

Can anyone provide me with some information on the Chris Reeve walking sticks? They look great on the web site but I would like to know if anyone has one, what type, what they like and don't like about them, etc. Thanks.

Well, I have one with a titanium head, titanium tubing, and an ivory spacer between them fabricated from a small tusk my grandfather bought in the 1930s. The shaft is Macassar ebony, with about five grooves cut in the top. He's cutting much more elegant grooves in the wood now, by the way. I like it very much. Perhaps one of the neatest things which is not apparent on the website is the urethane rubber tip attached to the bottom of the cane. They include with the cane some small sized crutch tips that slide over the bottom of the cane, but for those elegant indoor occasions, you can remove that tip and use the barely visible tip. Very neat. I've replaced the leather lanyard with some fancy colored mountaineering accessory cord which matches the color of the anodizing.

Very neat cane.

What walking stick is this now? Got a link?

CRK hasn't offered walking sticks in years. At the time they were around $300 for Ti top and exotic wood. The last I saw a few years ago sold for around $800 from a private party.

I don't need it (yet at least) but I kinda wish I had bought one back when they were being offered.

Man I want one of those...any wood would do. I almost ordered one when they were offered, but really could not afford it. Wish I had, now.
