Hello all,
today I’m whit my Schrade Old Timer Mustang (year 1991)

Specifications
Blade Edge: Plain
Blade Length (inches): 4.00
Blade Material: 1095 Carbon Steel
Handle Material: Delrin
Knife Closed Length (inches): 5.30
Knife Open Length (inches): 9.30
Knife Weight (ounces): 4.80
Country of Origin: USA

This knife is a quite BIG folder, here whit a 3,5” (90 mm) Victorinox for comparison

The 125OT has internal liners and a liner-lock

A weird and some way nice addiction is the mark “press” on the liner-lock systems

The Old Timer has a nice leather sheath

The 125OT closed

The Delrin’s handles, it’s like fake bone, anyway nice to see and good for the grip

Nice fit and finish

The blade’s shape it’s someway similar to some European traditional blades, as the Zuava i.e.

Hiking, I need for a walking stick

It’s easy to cut down a right branch whit the 125OT, despite the squared handle which is not so comfortable

The Mustang handled

All in all, a big folder, enough comfortable, which seems to be affordable on the long time. It’s not a piece of art, but my feeling is that this knife is real workhorse.
Ciao,
Alfredo

Thanks for another nice thread Alfredo  Always good to see you out and about :)

Yes! Thanks again, Alfredo.

Do you ever have company on any of these rambles?

... I ask only because a friend was recently showing me pictures from her own recent adventures, allowing me to flip through the photos on her iPhone at my own pace. Suddenly, I came upon a picture of me in the woods from a shared getaway this past fall, sticking a knife into a tree in order to photograph it.

I had no idea she'd taken a picture of the proceedings(!). She quickly snatched the phone back from me while sheepishly explaining,

"I keep that picture to show others, 'That's what she does, now.'"

Ah, friends.

Looks like you got a super nice one. I didn't realize how big they were until I got one myself. Enjoy!

Alfredo,

thanks for the pics. the 125OT is a classic, for sure :) That´s a great looking knife!

A lot of great weather beyond the Alps in every case.

As great as each of your knife reviews - keep 'em going :)

The 125OT is the knife that I carried every day in school. It will always bring a smile to my face when I see one.
Use it in good health.

Another enjoyable thread, Alfredo! Keep them coming as I never get tired of the view:D

What a great knife! I got one last year with a sheath. It has a bit more use than yours but I love the look and feel of it. Awesome blade!

I love all of your threads, and that is one sweet example of a really nice Schrade knife!
Congrats on scoring that beauty!

Many thanks to all of you, guys!

@pertinux: nice story! :-) Normally I'm alone on my hiking on the woods, for some reason nobody it's interested in my "knive's trials" :-)

That's a very cool folder you've got there. I don't know as much as I should about old Schrades, and always assumed the Mustang was a slipjoint. Never realized they were a liner lock. At any rate that one you acquired is in fantastic condition.

One of my favorite uncles has carried one of those as far back as I can remember! I couldn't count on both my hands all the bucks he has dressed out with it!

Looks like a real workhorse of a folder, and so much nicer (to my eye) than a Buck 110.
I'm sure you will enjoy using it for many years to come!
