Wall case for different blades

Need some ideas from the collective consciousness. I made a display box for some bladed stuff I've made and acquired. I made the knife walking sticks and the wooden handles on the knives. Nothing is too heavy. The frame is cherry with purpleheart splines in mitered corners and a rabbet for the back. No cover/doors - I want to be able to grab stuff quick when the zombie apocalypse happens. I have some 1/4" black melamine that I was going to use for the back. I was going to put pegs in to hang the stuff, but looking for other (better) ideas. it would also be nice to be able to modify it fairly easily for additions/changes.

You could potentially paint one of those pegboards used for hanging tools and use that for the backing. You'd have the ability to add and rearrange when you make/aquire new things to put in it. Perhaps put a black backing behind the pegboard so the holes aren't so obvious?

Pegboard can be covered in black cotton muslin. The weave is loose enough to poke hooks through.
