Wall Hangers?

For those of you who collect/display your kukris, what is the best way to display them? I am thinking about trying to hang a couple items on the wall, but can't figure out what would be the best way to do so. Any and all ideas and suggestions are appreciated, thank you.

Saw someone with an old fashioned vanity with an arming sword laid across it that looked pretty cool. Practical things; a mirror, a sword, a lantern, a bowl of water, a scarf, and drawers of garmets.

Usually I keep my unsheathed carved AK sitting on my second bookshelf with my sharpening stones and leather care items. During festival times or when I have a dorky friend over I'll sink a blade into my living room table's candle centerpiece before getting the booze and mugs out. I love making the place look like a small tavern. :p

If you've got a high polish on your knife, putting near a light-source, or where it catches the sun, and/or in front of a small mirror really just makes it pop-out.

An ordinary hardware store picture hanger works well for a vertical display in the scabbard that can be quickly removed from the wall. Older belt loops require a triangle made from a heavy paper clip; many newer frogs have a hanging loop incorporated in them.

Thanks guys. Berkley, what is that book so prominently displayed on your shelf? It looks like it's titled "Khookree to Kukri" but I can't find any info on it, is it something commercially available?

Sorry, no. It's a small demo version of a proposed kukri book that John Powell prepared some years ago. Unfortunately, it never reached the publication stage.

That's too bad, judging from it's location on your shelf and the little I've heard about John Powell, I'm sure it's a great piece.
