Wallet carry?

I've been trying a Spyderco ladybug in my wallet and it actually works pretty good for that as a back up knife! Was just wondering if there was anything a little thinner and maybe slightly larger to maximize what I can fit in there and still carry comfortably? I looked at the Spyderco grasshopper, it's got slightly larger blade length and appears it may be slimmer but it's not a lock back and 3cr Chinese steel isn't really up to my liking. Are there any other options I may be overlooking? Doesn't necessarily have to be Spyderco either but thinness matters most, and needs to have a 2 inch or larger blade.

Just so you know, the Grasshopper has better steel. They used Sandvik 12C27 for a while, and I think they are using 8Cr13MoV now. I like the Grasshopper because the handle is long enough for my old fingers to hold.

Oh nice I didn't realize they were using Sandvik, at least that's what it still says on their website. I'm thinking the steel handles might hold up pretty well to being sat on as well. Not quite sure if a clipless dragonfly would fit well, and it's probably thicker than a ladybug?

Dragonfly would definitely be too big.

The Cricket.
Probably take the clip off.
Price wise they are pretty proud of them but they are very capable cutters.

The Ladybug works better as a keychain knife, in my view.

You said you weren't limited to Spyderco and this one packs a lot of utility in a very thin covert package.

It's a new collab from Shomer-Tec with Jerry Busse...it even has a hole < couple of them, mof > ;)

Oh yeah I remember seeing a spydercard before. They are probably going to carry the best since they are purpose built. Wish they were still in production and didn't cost an arm and a leg haha

Perhaps a Cricket would work. If you take the clip off, it is quite thin and sturdy. It came in both SE and PE.

Is the detent on a cricket pretty strong? Being a frame lock and not a lockback I wouldn't want it to open up and stab me in the arse if you know what I mean haha

I think the Spydercard was discounted down to $20 at SMKW when closed out. Spyderco doesn’t offer those deals anymore.

It's quite strong. If I grab the hole and shake it, it doesn't open, though if I give it a good swing, it will open that way or the normal way with the thumb hole. With the curve at the end of the blade, it also needs to open a bit (1/8" or more) before the tip is exposed.
