I looked at a bunch of different wallet "knives" and didn't see any that I felt were satisfactory for my needs. So......... I decided to have one built instead.

I wanted a fixed blade that was still on the somewhat sturdy side. I went w/ 1/16" stock (O1)- it's about the thickness of 1.5 credit cards, the length is 3.5"- the length of a credit card

John (JK Handmade Knives) said he could do it, here's what what we came up w/:

I made a sheath out of milk jug plastic, used a couple of plastic grommets and then wrapped it w/ Gorilla tape (almost looks carbon fiber-ish :))

now I've got a capable, backup fixed blade w/ me all times

my Maxped "Urban" wallet is a little more ruralified- in addition to the knife I've got a small fire starting kit (steel, hack saw blade & 2 fire straws), also a small repair kit w/ duct tape, 3 safety pins, heavy needle w/ ~ 50' of 25# Spectra line

very nice. I like how compact it is. I've heard nothing but good about JK knives and it looks like the reputation is keeping up
