I've been eyeballing the Mission wallet recently, as I'd like to have a better way to carry my SAK inside my pockets. Right now it's in my right front pocket along with my pens and a large folder (clipped). Left front pocket carries my wallet, change, and keys. The problem is the SAK flops around and eventually will like flat at the bottom of my pocket, which annoys the hell out of me. I don't want to carry it in my left pocket, because the keys and change will scratch it all up. I won't carry anything in my back pockets, nor will I wear a sheath.

So the Mission wallet looks just about right. However, I'm not particularily fond of a zippered wallet, and I'd like a windowed place for my ID. Basically, I'd like something like my current wallet (although one that isn't prematurely falling apart), a normal single half folding one with CC slots, but with a pocket for a knife, and maybe a Space Pen.

Does such a wallet exist? If not, I suppose I could get something custom made (maybe in stingray, hmm...). Does anyone know how much such an item would cost?

Thanks.

Not exactly what your looking for but....

When I went to a larger pocket flashlight for work I stopped using my Mission wallet.( the light is now clipped to pocket) What i use is a 6 dollar leather business card holder. It has a front clear ID pocket and when unfolded has one side with two slots and the other side has two also but one expands. In the expanded one I keep a small Case stockman and Spacepen. It might be to small for a full time wallet or your sak, just an option.

BTW I'm not using my Mission wallet. ;)

I know EXACTLY what your issue is since I carry an SAK daily. The mission wallet will probably work at protecting the knife and keeping it vertical in your pocket. My only concern is the leather stretches with time, and your SAK will likely be rolling around in your pocket again. I use a Sack-up sleeve which works reasonably well at keeping the knife properly oriented. It also dramatically reduces the number of "OH SHEET, the damn thing fell out AGAIN!" experiences. It works OK up to a 4 layer SAK. If you don't mind hanging things on your belt, Victorinox makes some nice thin leather clip cases that work very well.
