Walmart Buck NightHawk

I recently purchased a Buck Nighthawk knife at Walmart for $39. The question I have is does Buck make a different version of this knife for Walmart? All the specs I can find say the Nighthawk has a 6.5" blade and is 11.5" overall. The knife I have has a 5.25" blade(from tip to hilt) and an OA of 10.25". Also the Buck model # is 650OD and the # on the blade of my knife is 655 followed by what looks like an upside down T. Anyone have any info on the knife I bought?

i don't know about this particular model but i do know that walmart has different "cheaper" versions of many products that are exclusiveto them.
things that look almost identical but have a different product number.

Looking at my Buck Nighthawk (clip-point, black blade, black handle), the blade is 6 & 1/4" long, and has an 11 & 3/8" OAL. On the blade is BUCK, then 650 /, then U.S.A., then PAT. PEND..

Mine is the "real-deal", but is an older model.

You have a "mini" Nighthawk that just happened to come in a full sized NightHawk box. There seemed to have been about 5 or 6 different Nighthawk models. Here at BFC we do have a Buck forum. Why don't you ask your question there?

You have a Mini Nighthawk. Black blade, partially serrated. It's a common knife.

The only comment I would add to this post is that this knife is a pain in the ass to sharpen and keep that way. I tossed mine in the "gift" draw years ago. It's a shame because it feels so nice in the hand.
