if they are going to be sold this year then they must be making and packageing them now.....Any news??????

I keep the faith as there are many new Bucks this year....Let's see and hope!!!!

Good point as I see only a few bucks at the five Walamrts I visit lately. Kershaw seems to have a bunch there and Gerber. I keep hopeing for a holiday special if not at Walmart then some other large store chain

Ok, if not Walmart any Buck special holdiay releases this year? Someone has to know by now!!!!

I know they have had sets of like 3 different size stockmans and they were like 30 bucks, I'd like them to have somthing like that again!

Many new Bucks indeed, but is Walmart buying??

Good point.I visit w/ Wal-Mart store managers weekly on various topics. Then State managers and even some from Bentonville perhaps once a year. None have indicated that the gift tins are forth coming. So, did Buck iron out a special project for this buyer? If they did they'll be in the stores next month.DM

I've given up on them for Buck knives. I may as well give up re .22 rimfire ammo, they are always out. Heck, the Mex eatery across from the parking lot from them has been gone. The HobbyTown next to that closed last month. Sad area. Once quite busy, too.

I doubt we'll see another decent Buck Christmas tin - those left-over PRC-made Buck slippies didn't interest me when they were out, much less now. When you think about it, what we are wishing for is that they will again have a special item specially priced - that they have to sell at a loss. Not exactly in the spirit of Christmas 'giving' - but a fact of life.

I bought mine before they went on sale. In order to procure one. The slippies my not be my favorite model but everyone I gave them to really did apperciate those. Espically the mother of pearl models. The Colonel carries his all the time. What ever set comes out I'll purchase and give to somebody. DM

Sorry folks, there will be no Buck tin in Wally world this year again. We do have some various tin programs going on, but they are not necessarily holiday tin programs; Dick's will be selling 110's in tins and i believe there may be a tin with a paperstone handled 301 and another tin with a paperstone handled 305 and 309(?). These would be Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation knives if they "go"; meaning it is a license agreement with RMEF but they will be sold in various of our standard dealers. Do not know if those will hit this year yet or not.
Wally World has opted, for the most part, to go in a different direction than previously as you see by the large selection (sort of) of Gerber/Winchester all imported low price items. We will see what next year brings.

Thanks Bill for the update! It seems that they still have the 110 and 119 and a few others. The only other Buck like knives as far as quality are a few Kersahws, otherwise they have all low end imports....

Thanks Dave. The four in Long Island NY that sold rifles and shotguns up to last year only had BB guns and real ammo now! No firearms for sale any more!

My five 110s came yesterday. As always great knives. Since there are no 2009 tins. I figured I would stock up on the 2007s......

That sucks! I was disappointed last year that there wasn't a holiday tin from Wally world. I have the 2006 and the 2007. I was hoping this would last longer, but leave it to Wally World to cheap out. Any chance Buck would contract a holiday tin with one of the larger sporting goods chains. I started buying the collectors tins because they were Buck, good quality American made - made by Americans, I don't really care who sells them.
