This one was finished up a while ago, and just didn't get
posted.
The blade is about 390 layers of 1084 and 15N20, Mounts
are double twist, and the handle is Mo. Black Walnut....I
DO like black walnut..!
The sheath insert is Python which I brought back from
SE Asia in 1968.

...hope you enjoy the look-see.

that looks great, Russ! Tres sleek.

Maybe I am nuts, but Im almost sure I saw this posted here before..? Extremely beautiful knife.

Too sweet. And what a neat bit of personal history incorporated in the sheath.

Roger

That's another Andrews beauty.

Enjoyed talking to you too, Russ, at the big show,

John

That's a beautiful Bowie! The 40 year old Python insert, from SE Asia on the sheath, really makes the package unique. Am I assuming correctly that you were there during the Vietnam War?

Yup it's Joe's piece, and is actually the same one as
in Roger's very well done article.
I picked the tanned skin section up in a shop while in
RVN...7/67-2/69.
John, I enjoyed talking with you also, and the chance to
look over the Legacy piece....exquisite..!
Don, Do ya think Black walnut might replace desert Ironwood...?
Strong likelihood...at least in my shop.....Great looking knives on
your table.....I always enjoy your bowies.

Beautiful work Russ. I got to look a little closer at your knives at Blade an I was humbled to say the least. Lin

Russ it was a pleasure meeting you at blade. As is all your work this knife is superb..

I more than agree with what's already been posted.
Congrats Joe and Russ.

Thanks for posting, Russ. I was happy to see this in Roger's well written article in Blade this issue. Another testament to your superb work. Your recommendation of the Python inlay could not have turned out better. Love the look with this bowie.

As all have stated, Russ' work is top notch. Very happy with this one and appreciate the comments.

I HOPE it replaces ironwood because you tend not to discover voids in a $60 block of walnut 3/4 of the way through shaping the handle!!!!! it was great meeting you at Blade, Russ.
