Walnut wood, ?

Im working on my first knife and Im wondering what, oil or finish that i should put on my knife, its walnut and not sure what to put on it, I need a teacher but i guess i keep bladeforums as my teacher

True Oil works well.

Walnut is great stuff, but don't skimp on the finish. Chuck's recommendation of Tru Oil is a good one and probably the simplest finish that I would consider. I use a multi part London style gunstock finish that Brownells sells. Works like a charm.

I have used tung oil on a few walnut handles, and have been happy with the results. True oil, and danish oil will work well also.

Tru oil works quite well. Make sure you wet sand with it so the slurry fills the natural open grain areas of the wood.
