Here is a Bowie I finished. Steel is 5160, handle is walrus ivory and the fittings are stainless. Thanks for looking.

Very slick Brett. Is that a straight-back blade, or does the point rise slightly? In either case, I love the blade shape - and the rest of the knife as well. :) Gotta love walrus ivory.

Got yourself an electro etcher, eh? ;)

Love this knife, as with all your others.

A classic - Brett, although I have not seen one in the flesh, from the pictures I see, and what the other guys are saying, your work is superb, excellent fit and finish, super clean, classis designs. I love the blade profile on this one - this is my personal favourite of yours so far, ..... but something tells me I will be saying that alot as far as you are concerned in the future :)

Great knife, I love the handle. Off the topic but does anyone know if walrus ivory is subject to the same restrictions as elephant ivory? Is it readily available?

Ancient walrus ivory is not restricted. Walrus ivory that is being harvested now has the same restictions that elephant ivory does.

By the way, nice knife.

Fossilized ivory can be bought and sold freely: modern walrus ivory can be sold if it has "art" on it.

Thanks for the comments guys. I am glad ya'll like it.

Roger, the tip does raise slightly. The perspective of the picture is hard to determine.
Danbo, I built the etching machine from a Mike Williams schematic. Now I will have crooked etchings rather than crooked stamps. :D
Matt, Danger is my middle name.

Thanks again,
Brett
