Greetings All:

Just finished this utility/hunter order in 1095 - I got this outstanding walrus ivory from Mark Knapp. OAL 10" - BL 5" All comments welcome.

 
That is a beautiful knife, one of my favorites so far, the coined spacers really look good.
 
I like the style of this knife a great deal. Several features attract me: The single guard, the length of ricasso allowing a choked up grip (I don't like those that have less than a finger's width--they might as well start the cutting edge right at the guard), the flared handle, and the gentleness of the downward offset in the blade (it's not extreme like many hunters are).

First, I really like the color, finish and overall look.

The clip seems to me like it drops slightly to the tip, where in my opinion, it would improve the lines if it were either, dead straight or,preferably, with a slight up sweep to the point.

Also there is something off to my eye about the guard handle juncture, like the guard needs to be slimmer or more curved into the lug.

Very minor points that caught my eye, and my opinion only, I may be way outta wack:foot::D

Hi Darcy - I appreciate the constructive feedback - I see your point about the guard - the photo doesn't show the upsweep/contour very well. Since it's a utility/hunter, I opted for less belly, hence the dropped clip - personal taste I guess ..... :)
