Walrus tusk dyed

Pulled this out of the dye vat yesterday. Putting it under UV light increased the absorption considerably. The marbling is beautiful imho. Now the tough decision is what knife to put these walrus ivory scales on.

Oof. I read that as "Walrus tusk died". I thought BF had lost another member. I don't recall anyone named Walrus Tusk but ... anyways ..

What made you decide to dye it, as opposed to leaving it natural colored? Just curious.
