Walt is having trouble posting a pix so I thought I would do it. This is one of two blades Walt recently made of CPM 3V. Before they were handled I was able to see both them up close and personal and attest that they look as good in hand as the one you will see below. Nice grinding, as usual, and am sure the handle work matches in craftsmanship.

Thanks for posting the pic Roger. The blade is 27/8" and OAL is 71/4". Sclaes are Desert Ironwood with SS pins.

That's beautiful Walt. Clean, simple, good grind and stunning scales. Watch out Rodger, he's gonna be competition in the hunter market.

Thanks for the comments. I have seen other guys post comments about grinder incidents, where it took the blade away from them and damaged it. This is a salvaged blade from such an incident. It was damaged in the spline area, with a little reshaping of the spline area I was able to salvage it.

Don, I ain't worried about competition. I got lots of it. I just wish my ice cream would keep coming like that.

I'm double posting here because I took time to read Walt's last post. I remember now Walt advising me about that being a repaired grind. I had forgotten completely about that. He told me that long before I received the blade but forgot his remark about that. I admire all incoming work. I noticed no grinding repair or any sign of a grinding mishap. All I saw was a nice grind. There was nothing obvious to cause me to remember him advising me of that.

(damn thing probly never hold an edge now.) JUST KIDDING. It is a very good grind.
