When Walter Brend makes those mirror polished blades for Microtech, what exactly is he doing that no one else can do? Is putting a mirror finish on a blade just extremely labor intensive, or is it a "secret process" or what?

In my opinion Walter is one of the best grinders out there. I personally like his hand sanded blades over the "mirror" polished ones.

I sure wish he was still primarily making fixed blades.
