Hi all,

Was checking out some of Walter Brend's knives on Bob Neals site, especially the sweet Model 5.... mmm.. but what I was curious about was that Bob mentioned that there will be few Brend Knives with the Cullman logo.

After reading Walter's story on his move from Walterboro to Cullman due to health reasons on his site http://www.brendknives.com thought he would be there for good. Or is there another reason for fewer knives with the Cullman logo.

From what I have read on his site he has come back from semi - retirement to make his knives again... can't imagine the length of the waiting list on Walter's book.

Here's the link to the Model 5 on Bob's site

I know I could have asked Bob but thought I'd see if anyone knows.

Hi Dan,

He built significantly fewer knives in Cullman. Doesn't make them any better or worse...just a different logo. Although long run this logo may become more collectible.

The biggest difference is the Leather Sheath from Byrd.

Hi Michael,

I don't think Walter has moved yet. Having difficulty selling his house in Cullman. But you are correct...the plan is to move to TN.

So with that in mind, you better jump on that model 5 Dan. :D

Jump at Bob's or the one you have with a 10" inch long smile :)

Either way I would have to sell the small amount of knives I have, PLUS myself. I'm confident I will off load the knives don't know bout myself though... hmmm
