Walter Brend Sub-Hilt Fighter

Thought you all may find this interesting. This is one of less than 5 8" Sub Hilt Fighters that Mr. Brend has made. It was purchased from Mr. Brend by my father in 1984. Fortunately for me I don't live very far from Mr. Brend's current shop and was able to stop by and show it to him (See thumbnail pics below). He was extremely welcoming and very happy to see the knife. We even made plans for him to create a modern version of the knife to make a set. This one is a Pakka Wood handle and the new knife will be one of a kind to match the vintage one.

$250 bucks even WAAAAY back long ago in the far far away time of the 80's ?!?!
Must not be the same famous Brend I'm thinking of.

In 84 you could get a passable used car for $250 LOL
I had a good job and was taking home $300-350 a week, to put it in perspective.
