Thought you all may find this interesting. This is one of less than 5 8" Sub Hilt Fighters that Mr. Brend has made. It was purchased from Mr. Brend by my father in 1984. Fortunately for me I don't live very far from Mr. Brend's current shop and was able to stop by and show it to him (See thumbnail pics below). He was extremely welcoming and very happy to see the knife. We even made plans for him to create a modern version of the knife to make a set. This one is a Pakka Wood handle and the new knife will be one of a kind to match the vintage one. IMG_5556.JPGIMG_5554.JPGIMG_5894.JPGIMG_5895.JPG

That’s just incredible. Can’t wait to see the new to match the old. Really cool story!!!

$25,000!!

Good to see they were expensive back in the old days too!

(Haha - ;))

Beautiful knife - a real treasure. :)

Very nice piece of history..... Thanx for sharing it. Looking forward to seeing the next one!

$250 bucks even WAAAAY back long ago in the far far away time of the 80's ?!?!
Must not be the same famous Brend I'm thinking of. 😜

I wish that I had known about him back then. I paid more than that for a Lile at that time and around that much for Randalls.

If you ever decide to sell it, please contact me, if that is OK, at:
