First, I have to say that this knife is out of production AFAIK so if that bothers you, feel free to stop here.

I've had this knife for years, four maybe more I really can't recall (at least it enough for it to be discontinued!)I purchased it from SMKW for $35 IIRC so it was not expensive by any means. The variations were black coated with either a Kraton or Rosewood inlay or beadblasted with Kraton.
Length of the handle is a little over 5inches and the blade is around 4-typical SD/Tactical size.
Performance is not extraordinary. I've gotten it shaving a few times and it took some work. However, the 440A shaves wood like nothing else, and has some real bite when it comes to ropes.
When it comes to corrosion resistance this knife is EXTREMELY impressive. Not once have I disassembled it for cleaning (I know, shame on me). The only rust that has developed is on the pocket clip screws. Now, I find this impressive because I have taken it in and out of the water, clipped it to a lifejacket, and used it while saltwater fishing. Only cleaning is a quick wipe down and Remoil afterwards. Besides the rust on the screws the only other wear is the removed finish that comes with EDCing a knife.
Lockup is surprisingly good as well. I've wrist snapped this open more times than thumbed it open....absolutely no blade play at all!
The grip is not extremely ergonomic. I find it most comfortable in the hammer or saber grip. Because the handle is pretty much symetrical I find it to be a good candidate for Mercop's IET.
I'd reccomend this knife. It does just about everything I want it to although it is not as high-end or exceptional as others. If anyone on this forum sees it at a gun/knife show it might not be a bad idea to pick it up.

Kraton insert IIRC on an aluminum handle with 440A blade all Teflon coated.

Terrible shot of the liner lock in attempt to demonstrate its secure lock up.:o

The exposed back makes cleaning easier and let's dirt, sand, whatever get out.

with friends for size comparison.

I have one of those in several pieces in the box. First, the screws on the clip got loose and when I tried to tighten them, I found that the holes were worn to the point of not holding any more. I removed the clip but continued to use the knife. I had similar experiences in that the edge holding was decent and it was an extremely stain resistant knife. To me, it felt good in the hand, though the handle always seemed kind of big and out of proportion.

Later, one of the nylon bushings in the pivot wore out and the blade started to close far to one side where it used to be centered. I did not know the source of the problem at first, so I took the knife apart and found the worn bushing.

A decent knife, but for $35, there are much better ones. Try a Benchmade Monochrome for a similar knife but far better made and better blade steel.

Best of luck.
