has anyone handled one of these? I love the shape, but i'm not sure the 420 steel is all that great a choice.

Not a fan of stainless or rabbet tangs on a tomahawk. They should be geared toward toughness, and neither of those choices seem to do that. That knurling looks like it'd get rough on the hand in short order as well.
 
It's probably about as good as all other gun company branded cutlery. That would be overpriced for what you get, and at the end of the day pretty much just cheap junk with a name on it.

Besides, Walther makes beautiful and discrete guns (Minus the PPX), that axe embodies nothing that I think of when I think of the name Walther.
