Gotta admire (and respect ) a guy with his own Tommy gun!
just another for the collection, i whish i could get pictures of all of them at once but its kind of hard laying out 104 rifles, not even including the pistols and shot guns. these are just 50 or so of them, the rest are pretty much duplicates.

Dirty socks beside this. This young man is spending megabucks but he's NOT married. Good for him & all his toys !

Uncle Alan

my cars are gona break, my expensive knives are going to be dated and used up one day but my guns are a investment. think of the gun prices 30 years ago, you could get m1 carbines for 100 bucks. at one time lugars were something like 25 bucks.

heres some more detailed photos of the ones i had laying out that day. were building a hidden gun room behind a faux fireplace in the basement. its taking alittle longer than expected but were having to build it bigger. were hoping 10x10 will hold them all but im alittle doubtfull.

Nice!

I went to a concert last weak (Kasey Chambers!) at a place called the Southgate House across the river in Newport, KY. I was surprised by the historical marker out front explaining that it was the childhood home and birthplace of Gen. John T. Thompson. I had no idea.

In its day I imagine the house had a commanding view of the Ohio River and must have been quite the mansion.

im looking at another thompson as we speak, the only problem is that its a short barreled rifle and it takes 3 months to process.

on a rather cool note, im a member of a local gun club. remember the video of the machine gun shoot? thats the one.

ive perposed to a few other members about setting up a ww2 era match with 3 seperate compititions. one leg of the event will be a short range, 50-100 yard, cowboy style shoot for m1 carbines, thompsons, and other similar ww2 carbines. it will combine metal silutes and moving targets.

the other leg of the event will be a long range shoot with targets at the 200, 400, and 500 range marks. mansized targets will automatically pop up and stay up for 3-5 seconds at random locations. points will be rewarded for kill zones. this event will be open to any ww2 rifle, including garands, k98s, ect ect ect. carbines are also welcome for fun but that would be a searious handi cap to you at those ranges.

then there will also be a service pistol round similar to the carbine compitition but at closer ranges open to any ww2 era pistol and reproductions, no hot rods.

in the end i think it would be interesting seeing how the us vs german weapns fair. if i can get this off the ground id like to see the money go to the vetrians or the d day memorial.

I picked up one of those rascals on the battlefield in RVN and carried it (on the tank) for the duration. It climbed like a monkey when you shot it and was heavier than a sandbag, but I kept it looped by the strap around the cal. 50 gunsight on the coupola. Definitely the best looking weapon ever invented. :D An absolutely great find KaBar!

Actually if you had taken that same money thirty years ago and invested you would have out performed the gun values even with the "crash" and you would not have had to store them, insure them etc.... Buy em because you like em'! Now some of the class three stuff has and will go up unless the law changes. If I was gonna go through the hoops for a SBR I'd go ahead and get the full auto... I like my stengun and it is worth 5 time more than I got in it but it ain't for sale. I am still kickin my self for not gettin the 16 or 1919 back then too  As far as the hidden room... loose lips sink ships... now how about pictures :D

well, im not to worried about loose lips. theres verry few people on this forum that know me personally and the ones that do have enough common sence not to even try.

ive got them so hidden now that it would take a full atf search and the systematic dissasembably of just about every wall and crawl space in my house to find them all lol.
