I went out yesterday to check my traps (another thread coming soon) and ended up with a few extra pictures to share.
I walked to the top of our hay field and over the hill to woods where my traps are.
Found fresh deer tracks in the road through the woods.
Reset my traps.
I decided to set another trap on another part of our farm where I had seen some coyote tracks. I went over there, and wandered around looking for sign.
A snapping turtle was out near the pond.
I got him to smile for the camera.
I got my trap set, and snapped a pic of the set and the tools I used.
This property has an old school house on it, and I stopped to take a look inside before I left.
There are two small rooms on each side of the entryway.
with windows on the corners
and holes in the floor
The floor is worse in the classroom. Some time in the past the cows have gotten in and collapsed the floor.
Ceiling is starting to come down, but the roof above is still solid.
One last look before going out the back door. I peeked around under the floor, but didn't see any critters. There were coon tracks outside, they might be hanging out in the attic.
Interesting old building. Thought I'd get some pictures of it while it's still standing.
