To those of you who have worked with the larger titanium sticks, Is the weight in the stick heavy enough to offer great KO power? I ask because My 16" ASP baton just died (don't ask me how!) and I was interested in purchasing a 14" Wang Stick. I like the double tapered end but I worry that it will not pack enough punch when I swing it without the cord. And by the way, any luck getting these through airline security?

Hello...I have a Wang Bo, double tapered. Yes, it is heavy, heavy enough to do some serious damage. Very smooth titanium, and the point is sharp enough to easily draw blood. SERIOUS stick; I would hate to be on the recieving end of a Wang Bo. Since the suface is so smooth, consider getting the thumb cord. It helps in grip retention, and you can swing it a la nunchaku.

As far as airline security, if you check it in your luggage, there should be no problem. I wouldn't walk through with the Wang Bo strapped to my thigh though...

Wouldn't the titanium stick go through the metal detector in an airport (the magnetometer not the hand held ones)?

I've carried the Pocket Meteor and a Manrikigarrote through airport security, with no problems at all. The detector didn't even sound! However, be advised that INTERNATIONAL airports have tighter security, and I believe their detectors are a little more sensitive, as my Credit Card Blade in the moneyclip did set off the alarm.
I emptied my pockets(with the PM attached to my keys as a makeshift keychain) and the security guard examined my moneyclip, saying that it was the thick gauge of the clip that set off the alarm.

Though...if they want to search you and they find a Wang Bo on you, I have no idea how to explain that one. Maybe it's a state of the art backscratcher?
