I've managed to cut an integral Wave into one of my Manix folders and here's a rough sketch on my Expresscard page. Sorry for the small size but my version of MS Paint is old.

A 1/8" deep Wave was cut out 1" from the edge of the Spyderhole, taking advantage of the slight curve of the blade. The curved area is just where a closed Manix starts to be at widest and where the blade makes contact on the pocket. After opening, my grip is acquired just below the pseudo sub-hilt of the handle.

Some of you may recall I have 2 Manix folders both of which had difficulty with the pocket clip for tip up carry. Manix 1 just needed better threaded screws, Manix 2 has a relocated pocket clip at the lanyard hole. I used Manix 1 to make the uh "Wanix". :)

Overall, this was really an experiment and was much easier than the Expresscard, which I'm still refining.

On a side note, I have used S30V to push cut through the chain of a rosary (a ceremonial request made by a family member) and overall there was no obvious chipping. Conversely, S30V was rather easy to Dremel similar to ATS-34.
