Well, Peter's been so successful with his prybaby I think some of you need to make him work. It's getting near hunting season so I spend my days working:grumpy: ,shooting my bow and muzzleloader. I use an inline and I was reminded on one of the muzzleloading forums that there weren't any good cappers for inlines with scopes. I made a prototype this evening using a magnet to hold the 209 cap. It's got a serious case of the uglies and on the next one I'll grind a knife blade....but...it works very well. I suspect some of you can make some fair money if you come up with a design, with a knife blade and keep the price at $50.00 or under. Any takers?

Ah
Another bowhunter,I know what you mean about getting ready Md season
comes in Sept 14,I have Knight MK85 inline and is a touch to get the cap off, I made something close to what you made.Very good Idea I bet it works well:)

So far it does work well Nathan. I do want to grind some sort of utility blade with it though. Kinda hope Peter takes the bait and plays with the idea. He seems to be coming through with the better offbeat ideas these days.:D

If you haven't tried the 777 powder yet, your missing half of life. I switched to 460 gr great plains bullets and 777. What a combo. Added 50 fps and shooting one ragged hole at 100 yards. Added a red dot to my bow and can't believe the difference. Sorry, got carried away!:o

Anyway....it is a useful idea for a utility blade. By the way, I talked to the tech people at CCI and was assured the magnet could not detonate the primers:eek:

One of the Ideas I have is making a folder with a flipper. The magnet would be on the end of the flipper. It would have to be slightly longer but not that much.

Yep on the Tripple 7 it is clean shooting,I am going to try some power
belt Aero Tips this year to see what they will do.

Hmmm, you guys are talking about stuff that I know absolutely nothing about. What is this tool supposed to be for specifically? BTW, I have done some black powder shooting as a lad but I'm confused as to which this thing is for, shooting or bowhunting?

It's for inline black powder rifles Peter. With a scope on it's difficult for most of us to get our fingers in the chamber to put a primer on the nipple. This just holds it and allows a handle to slip it in. 209 primers have a steel cup in them and allow the magnet to hold them in place.
