Pala sends us a couple of newspapers along with the khukuris to let us know what's going on in Nepal. I found a full page ad hawking Sonalika tractors and couldn't help but chuckle at the sales angle. You probably will, too.

On a harsher note, pix and story of Maoist attack on Jumla -- not so far from Pala's ranch. Gov't buildings (along with some neighboring ones!) burned. Several innocents killed -- pix of bodies and a couple of spare heads. Nothing like helping the poor and downtrodden.

Sorry to hear about the maoist violence Uncle, I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes he could send more than just prayers their way.
