Ok I was thinking, it is fall I would like a new camping knife. I have way too many to begin with. But I do like the ESEE because of the warranty which lets me use it pretty worry free. So I was entertaining the idea of a new RC4. But which one...G10, Linen Micarta or canvas micarta. Which one is the most grippy?

Canvas Micarta can be very grippy, but it absorbs liquids (blood/mud/other junk).
Linen is simlar to canvas except the cloth has a smaller and softer weave.
G10 is mostly chemical resistant from what I've read and seen first hand.
My vote would be either G10 or some professionally stabilized wood, ebony would look nice on a Desert tan ESEE4.

I have an RC6 with the Linen Micarta and had an RC5 with Canvas Micarta...I completely forgot the RC5 had the canvas...with that said it is really between the G10 and the Canvas. I really like the canvas quite a bit over the linen but never had their G10 version.

If you get the G10 handle it can always be roughed up or textured to improve the grip.
