Hello everyone.
Couple a months ago i have bought this knife as a medium EDC. I really like it: sharp, and holds it very well. Nice design, comfortable handle.

But there's nothing ideal in the universe...

The "nitride titanium" coating just disappeared in month or so. :grumpy: And the blade just get covered with pitting rust.:mad::mad: Even after removing the rust with WD40 or Ballistol the orange dots covered the blade in a day or so.

So the main question: please, advise me some alternative knife in $60-range :)
The blade from 7 to 8 cm (from 2,75" up to 3,14"), G10 handle. And the main feature - flipper
And steel - more corrosion-proof then in my CRKT

Thank You

PS sorry for poor english

I'm sure people around here are getting tired of me saying it, but the Kershaw RAM was MADE for you.

3 inch blade, good steel, great lock, the best flipper in the entire world, and I mean that, G10 on aluminum, great ergonomics and it goes for between 50 and 60 dollars. Trust me on this, your search is over. Go get one. Best bargain in the entire knife world right now. I used to have an M16 and I loved it, but the RAM blows it out of the water.

why does it have 3 thumb studs? i don't have 3 thumbs.

Lol technically it has six. No one really likes the thumbstud design here, but the flipper is literally the best ever made (in a production knife anyway). The nice duality of the RAM is that if you use the flipper, it opens faster and harder than any assisted opener, and if you use the thumbstud(s), it opens totally nice and slow for more discrete situations.

In the G&GH custom version of this it actually has 4 on each side.

That's just a ludicrous amount of thumbstuds, lol!

Not sure if the Kershaw Lahar is too big for your needs, antsnark, but it features a G10 handle, flipper, thumbstuds, and liner lock, just like the CRKT M21. Not sure how VG10 performs in the rust-resistance department, but I hear it's a good steel.

well, we have a law restriction on the blade length (in Ukraine). So a "long" knives (9 or more centimetres) are forbidden.

Ram 1910 looks very interesting  thank You for advise.

I have visited 3 shops today, and found only one more or less appropriate variant: Boker "Trance" by Chad Los Banos. A "big hamster" :D as it is called on russian knife-forums
