You could try a knapping class and/or books on how to knapp.
Why pay big bucks if you can do it yourself? (besides, you'll need to know how to sharpen it.)
I do like the idea of making my own... I have a tone of deer, elk and ram's horn (ram's horn rules by the way). While I learn, I'd still like to pick one up for this season
There are lots of great knappers out there, but I'm not into that scene well enough to tell you top names, etc.
There's a guy not too far from me that does great work. Dad and I visited his home a while back, and he showed us all kinds of really awesome points he'd made. He uses all kinds of stone; not just obsidian. I found his contact info:
