Want another Busse

Gents and Ladies,

I would like to purchase another Busse and there are tons of options out there. I definitely like a satin finish with no color finish on the blade. Just natural steel. Definitely leaning towards the Natural Outlaw. I also really like Tank Buster. If I am missing a model that you would suggest that is similar to these 2, please let me know. Also, how do I go about ordering something like this, since it is not available on the Busse web site.

Well at this point, the only way you could get one of those is on the secondary market. If its not on the website or the company store, then the busse exchange on the forum is probably the way to go.
 
I liked the Tank Buster, but IMO, it felt kind of lost between a knife that was too big to be a small blade, but too small to be a big blade. SARGE7 is a nice "one knife" option that is about ~1.5" longer than the TB (correct that estimation if applicable), has a satin finish, and is available at factory pricing from the company store. Although supplies were low last time I checked. Or you could always buy a coated knife and strip it... I've seen some strip jobs that came out wonderfully.
 
Try to get yourself a NMFS it may be the best do it all knife ever made ... Or you can hang in there until the anniversary Mistress comes out (it's going to be epic) i know a 11" + mistress is not in any way similar to the knifes you mentioned but still :D

Great choice. SFNO LE's pop up on the exchange from time to time. I've seen a few at good prices lately.
 
Which version of the Natural Outlaw?

The original Ergo handle NO, or the Special Forces NO, or the NMSFNO?

You might be able to order from the Custom Shop, if blade blanks are available. But your best chance is to haunt the Sale forum here and eBay. Educate yourself on resale market prices. Lately it seems that folks are trying to get a lot for the SFNO-LE, considering that they were just under $400 originally.
 
I want a general purpose knife that represents a Busse name. From everything that I have seen, Natural Outlaw is it. I am not sure which handle I want. There are also too many acronyms that I don't understand :). I also thought that you can order these from Busse custom shop. Am I wrong in that assumption?
 
It depends on if they have blade blanks. The hell razor is another great one to look for, very useful size and very handy for camping.

I would echo the idea of looking at the Sarge 7 if they have any left at the company store. Really a nice blade.

The problem is that you have too many nice options; my all around/do everything knife is a SFNO LE and to me it does work perfect for what I need. The NMSFNO is a great knife as well but a little heavier to carry on extended walks, well of course if you want to go light, a smaller blade would be better. Have you seen the ASH-1? Another great choice, and as a Garth has mentioned, the Sarge 7 is an excellent option as well.

Ordered Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Steel Heart (NMFSH) with a double cut finish! Now the wait begins...
With the new anti-gun law passed last night in NY states, I had to get something to make me feel better. I looked long and hard at Sarge 7, but wanted a more Busse look with 3-hole design and a more aggressive blade. I might pick up Sarge 7 in the future. Thank you all for your advices!
 
The NMFSH is an awesome choice :thumbup: Make sure you take a lot of pictures once you receive it :D
