I want another K390 blade. I can get the Urban or the Pingo. The police is larger than I want to EDC.

The Pingo has the cool looking Anso/Voxnaes design. Not sure about that bump at the end of the handle. The Urban has a finger choil which helps with a smaller handle. Leaning toward the Urban.

The Pingo really surprised me as a cool little knife with great ergos but, steel aside, if I was only going to have one it would be the Urban.

I've got a Pingo, UKPK, De Leeuws Friction Folder and a PITS but not an Urban. Of the 4 mentioned, the PITS is my favorite.

Based on size, the Urban sits between the Pingo and UKPK. The Friction Folder and PITS are unique and not comparable to either the Urban or UKPK.

The Pingo is tiny. Not sure what "bump" at the end of the Pingo handle you're referring to; the entire handle is rounded to fit into curvature of your palm, which it does nicely. I only bought it to round out my Spyderco slipjoint collection but it's not anything I'd carry unless I was planning to travel to Denmark where the others would be illegal to carry ;)

The UKPK is fine and seems closest in design to the Urban. So, unless you like really tiny knives, the Urban should suit you well.

You cant carry/EDC a knife - any knife at all - in Denmark due to the latest very strict knife law from 2016.
You can go straight to a location for a specific knife task (whittle a stick, peel an apple) but have to go straight home. There is no walking a detour through town or shopping with even the smallest knife on your person. Hunters, scouts can use a knife but no stopping for groceries on the way home with a knife on your person. Straight to a location, use the knife and straight home or leave the knife in the car when stopping for gas, shopping etc.
Germany still allows non-locking folders, so you are good there.
England as well.

Thanks for the info.

I was just going by the description of the Pingo on Spyderco's site; that it was made to comply w/Denmark's knife laws at the time. I have no plans to travel to Europe (or anywhere else) anytime soon anyway.

Thanks. That is very helpful.

Jeepers! I have nothing polite or printable to say about that.

I assume(hope?) there is no way to enforce this law; “stop and frisk” stormtroopers on every block and x-ray machines to enter a bus, train, or building, for example?

The law is enforced by 'stop and frisk zones,' which can pop up anywhere at a moments notice but realistically are most often encountered in major cities/trouble areas.
Get stopped with a knife in town without a specific purpose (any knife, SAK, one inch no lock nail cleaner or what ever) = go directly to jail.

I wonder what percentage of the jail population is there for having a sak in their pocket. The US has some pretty stupid laws on the books as well, I suppose.

I believe the 'go directly to jail' bit was to scare/wean people off knives, which worked in a grand manner … for the law abiding part of the population. Criminals of course dont care.
Another stage was added at some point; it was left to the discretion/judgement of the cop frisking you/spotting knife sticking out of a pocket, whether or not you'd be brought to the station or not. Which sounds good on paper but in reality means, that if a cop dont like you or if he/she had a bad day, youd be up the creek with no paddle. Specific knife purpose or not.

Yes, there are some weird knife laws around not least in the US.

In Germany, you cant carry a small locking folder (Caly, Dragonfly or what have you), if has to be a non-locking folder.
You can how ever legally EDC a 12cm/4.7" fixed blade knifeo_O

Yes. Blue handle. One on the electronic Bay right now.

Just did a little research. Looks like it was an exclusive in 2016 for the EdgeMatters forum. Until now I didn't realize that Spydero did exclusives for other forums. (Edit: Realized afterward ['cause I'm stupid] that an exclusive is an exclusive whether it's BHQ or a forum.)

Do you like the 390 over the 110 knives? I EDC the Gayle Bradley 1 with the M$ steel blade, awesome knife for everything.

I like them both. I think S110 has a little more edge retention and K390 is tougher. Don't quote me on this. I have been using a K390 Mule Team and liked it. It's not very available so I thought I'd get another knife with it while I can.

For some reason I don't have a GB. Need to get one. Looks like harder use and good EDC folder. And I agree that M4 is great.

There's a K390 Pingo?!

I came to post this. Where might one find one of these

Edit - next post answered this. Thank you. I’m off to hide my wallet from myself.
