want my 1st Emerson... too many choices

So I decided that I really NEED at least one Emerson. I'm torn between a Commander, CQC-7, and Karambit. Unfortunately, "get all 3" isn't an option right now. I think the Commander would be the most useful EDC and has a normal V-grind which is a plus in my mind. However, the -7 and the Karambit are really cool

. Does anyone carry those for regular utility use and how would you say they handle in that role?

I have all three of the EKI`s you mention and if I could only have one it would be the Commander. But alot of people like the 7 the best. The ECK is a wicked little weapon and very fast.

of the 3 i would get the commander probably, though its far from my fav FWIW.

i would much rather have (in no order)

*CQC12
*CQC13
*CQC8
*SOCFK
*I&I tanto

The Commander or a CQC-8 hands down for any type of utility function.

Well, I ended up ordering the Karambit

I'm pretty sure the Commander would have been a better all-around EDC, but I already have a few solid "normal" blades to pick from. I thought I should try something a bit different. I'm sure if I can't stand it, I can trade/sell it pretty easily for a Commander. It should be here by Sat. (with any luck, tomorrow) and I can't wait! I've got a bad feeling this won't be my last Emerson

I had a 98 Commander, I traded it for a Strider SNG.

Get the trainer too, better to bump yourself then stab yourself like I have heard some have done.
