I guess it all depends on how "hardcore" you are. If you give us more details, we can help you better.

Get the Ka-bar combat kukri, I'm sure it will take a beating and has a great warranty.

For heavy use, I Would recommend a Panawal AK or a Chiruwa Ang Khola from Hi. I have a number of kukris, but have used the GK Panawal AK for cutting small trees in the back yard. A Hi Kukri may have better finish, and they are very nice. The GK is one tough blade that holds and edge after lots of heavy use.
I would recommend a 15" or 16" model. Mine is 16".

The only Kukris which I use hard are from HI. They hold up very well. Keep shaving even after chewing through dried hardwoods like oak.

Cheap and tough. Use it like you stole it.

For authenticity I would only buy a Kukri that was made in Nepal expressly for the Nepalese Gurkha.

I want something which i can use for camping, Hiking . Simply it can replace axe and not to much heavier and not to much lighter. It should be durable

(( removed deal spotting ))
Hey you made a good decision to use khukuri in replacement of axe. Why carry a long axe if the same work can be done by 10 inch khukuri with less effort. Do you think Gurkhas were famous for only killing their enemies and for their bravery. No I don't think so they all achieved this due to khukuri as they had to do camping during the war which goes on for long time and khukuri can do everything. it can chop wood, Meat, Break Metal, Its iron can be medicine if you got injured. You don't need to master it as swords, axe needs time and experience. So I think Khukuri is best for camping.
If you want to buy genuine gurkha khukuri(kukuri) then you have to buy khukuri from Nepal because it is originated from there and all these khukuri are handmade and these khukuri are made by those people whose whole generation and family name are reputed to make khukuri.. that's why khukuri from Nepal are quite stronger. As all of you know that khukuri are popular due to Gurkha army also known as army of Gorkha. These Gorkha Army shown their valour in world war I and world war II with the help of these khukuries. So, I think there is no doubt why Gurkha khukuri is gaining importance now a days.

Vist this http://www.gorkhakhukuri.com.np/product/ganjawala-panawala-handle-balance-khukuri/ i think you will find a replacement for axe.

James@1989's first two posts were links to that site. Tiger@123's first post is a link to that site. Doesn't smell fishy to me. Smells like spam.
