Want to get into knife making

I am going to that you all in advance for your patience. I have decided that I am going to give knife making a go.

I’m not sure where to begin??

So, would anyone be able to point me in the right direction:

I’m not sure what to buy? Files, sandpaper, sanders, etc.

you might want to pull up the forums list and you'll see there is a forum LINK Shop Talk- Blade smith Questions and Answers. Tons of good information. I would recommend spending a couple afternoons just reading and searching through threads. It will help you to get a feel for what you want to accomplish.

I'm in the same boat, sort of. I already have a general knowledge of metalworking skills, and own tools. My hangup would be heat treating (going to farm it out), and final sharpening.
