Want to replace my laptop "brick" power adapter with something lighter

Here's the deal. I have an HP DV6000 series laptop (actually a 6184). As far as I can tell it uses a 120w power supply and the adapter is HUGE. Sort of defeats the purpose of a lightweight laptop. I've been looking online to find an alternative but most slim adapters are 90W. I don't want to damage the laptop or its battery by not using the correct power adapter. Anyone have a similar situation? I've been looking at lightweight adapters from Kensington, Belkin and even from HP itself, but the product descriptions are pretty confusing or they are all 90W. Ideally I'd like it have an extra USB charging port for other devices. What say yea?

Usually using a 90W only means the laptop will charge slower, especially if it is turned on and charging at the same time.

I always use a 65W travel adapter with my laptop. I bought it used and that was came with it. Never noticed any real problems.

May want to contact HP or read the forums. The adapter needs to have the right plug, output voltage, a clean signal (ie oem or a reputable brand), and maximum amperage protection

Ok, that's what I want to clear up. I keep seeing references about the cpu "underclocking" or performance dropping when using 90w. I just want to be sure I don't damage the battery or my laptop if I use a 90w travel charger vs. the 120w brick the laptop comes with. I've looked at HPs website and did search after search online and I can't get a definitive answer, so I posted here. Thanks for the reply anyway! 20+ views of the thread, I thought I'd get a bit more feedback.
