been using the edge pro for a few weeks now and love it, getting better and better with my technique. Have all edge pro stones in 120, 220, 400, 600, 1000, 2000 and 3000 grit polishing tapes. Thinking about trying a shapton stone but can't decide which one i should start with, any recommendations on your favorite shapton stone?

I wanted to take the plunge too. I'm not sure of which to get, the Chosera, Shapton, or the Nubatama Bamboo stones. Hopefully there's someone out there that can compare the three.

I am pretty sure I am going to buy the 4k, 8k, and 16k shapton glass stones to supplement the stock edge pro stones (and to replace the polishing tapes). They're not overly expensive in my opinion and getting down to 1 micron with a stone is pretty damn impressive. Just speculating, but I will bet they'll last quite a while too since they're such light abrasives.

now i can't decide if i should go with the 4k glass stone or 500 grit glass. Only reason i am thinking 500 is because it will probably be one of my most used stones when re-profiling a blade. Then again, the 4k would be nice to get a mirror polished edge. Also gonna order a leather strop on edge pro plate with 1 micron diamond spray
