like the tenacious...but want a " better" spyderco...what spyderco is about the same size and shape..thanks in advance..

If you want a similar better one that doesn't cost too much, i'll recommend a Manix 2. If you can afford to spend more, it'll be the Sage 1.

Questions, questions... Do you care where it's made? What steel is used? How much can you spend? By "size" do you mean closed or blade? Do you want it serrated? (If so, the Para2 is basically out, as it was for me.) And so on.

I just upgraded from a Tenacious to a Stretch. Great knife.

no serrated edge..like the ego of the tenacious and I'm thinking the para2 would be close but I've never handle one...just thought maybe someone had both and could advise. I like the sprint runs but their a little pricey for my budget..which is 100.00 to 150.00..it will be a edc so a good steel for the blade is a plus...

Lots of good recommendations above. The Para2 (with the excellent CPM-S30V steel) is very popular. If they come out with Para2 in SE I'm all over it. If you can't find it locally (even if it's just to look at and handle one), you could always order from a place that has a good return policy (e.g. Amazon, but NOT the Amazon Marketplace), though I don't like to encourage that.

Another vote for Manix 2, or Sage if you're wanting to keep the same kind of lock. Love my Manix 2, although now that I have one of the sprint run FFG ones, I'll probably get rid of my regular Manix 2.

If a Spyderco Persistence and a Spyderco Native had a baby, it would be a Sage. Simply a fantastic EDC choice...
