G'day

I live in Australia and I've been looking for a Busse TGLB for quiet a while, they very rarely pop up for sale on local trading websites here. I'm new to Bladeforums, i literally just registered and I'm in the process of sussing out how to use this forum. I found a link through google that takes me to a busse sales forum but I'm not a gold member so i cant post there. It seems every time i checked in on the forum and saw a TGLB for sale it is sold within seconds, so i was wondering if anyone could let me know what the process is to gain access to the sellers on that forum. Or, if anyone is willing to part with a TGLB let me know.

Cheers.

You can buy from the sales forum; however, like you pointed out you cannot sell there. The TGLB is still in pretty high demand, so starting a WTB thread might help, but it likely won't I'm afraid. With an in-demand knife like the TGLB you have to be pretty quick on the draw, not getting around it really. At any rate, without having a gold membership I don't know if you are allowed to start a thread like this here, so I suggest you send Jaxx or another moderator an email.

Welcome Busse brother!

I'm not a salesman or rep. for BF...but I'd start off with purchasing a Gold Membership...it's money well spent, IMHO.

You get a whole world of new cool options opened up to you.

There's a WTB "Want To Buy" section under the "Exchange" tab.

It's free to window shop most subforums, but you're correct that you're limited to where/what you can post... so set an hour or so aside and learn how to navigate around and get comfortable with the layout and then decide if an upgrade in your membership is in order.

BTW, we have several very active Aussies & Kiwis here! I'm sure they'll be stopping by to welcome you also...Enjoy

Welcome! Cool name.

IIRC, a registered member can post a WTB on that forum, but you will not be able to see any other WTB. (the logic being that if you could see other WTB, then you might contact that member directly to sell to them, breaking forum rules)

I don't want to discourage you from buying a membership, but you don't need one to post a "Wanted to Buy" thread. Ypu just have to do it in the appropriate forum.

REGISTERED USERS - The first level of membership. If you have not purchased a paid subscription, you are by default a Registered User. As such, you are very limited to posting areas in the Exchange. You may respond to threads where you mean to purchase an item, or trade. You are not allowed to create threads for Selling or Trading (but you may respond to existing ads). You do have the ability to create Want To Buy threads.

My Gold membership expired for few days, and after suffering thru it lol i cant believe some people choose not to buy Gokd membership, definitely money well spent.
TGLBs come and go quick, not to mention alot of sellers wont ship overseas, if i were you id give E...y a try, but either way, be prepared to spend a pretty Penny,
Or you can just wait till TGLB LE comes out, and get it straight from the shop.
Good Luck

Yes, make sure you are prepared to wait a very long time for a TGLB from the Shop! There has been NO word on when or IF a TGLB LE will EVER be offered from Busse (Mostly wishful thinking) Good Luck! The Forum is your best place to buy one but as stated previously they (TGLB) do not pop-up very often and are now selling at between $650-$800 Dollars!!

Most other models like ASH-1, HG55, NMFSH, NMSFNO, SFNO, FBMs and others have LE version. So isnt logical nxt step for TGLB and ASH-2 to have a LE version ? (Or, might be just my wishfull thinking)

You never know...
There is no original Badger Attack LE, no original Mean Street LE, no TGLE, no Scotch Dispenser LE...no Busse folder LE...or any folder, lmao...ya just never know with the Bossman. Fingers crossed. ;)

Aussiemandias, these folks are correct, you need to place your wanted requests in the Wanted To Buy: Knives sub-forum of the Exchange section. :)
Good Hunting!

Way to burst my bubble Jaxx lol
I got to stay positive and focus on the blades that do have LE version, I figured by the time I find 1 of each of those, the TGLB LE will come out lol

LOL, join the club. I'm still waiting on my Anorexic Assault Shaker...yanked last minute from a Ganza many moons ago for a certain Scotch Dispenser instead. Disappointment happens...occasionally. ;):D

I think the TGLB LE will be offered ONE DAY, Busse knows the popularity of these Knives! But I am getting older and prefer to make it a reality now instead of waiting!!!

...... mate as a registered member you CAN post an "I'll take it" etc in the Busse For Sale Forum" you just can't start a thread offering something For Sale. But yes, you need to be quick. There are a good few TGLBs down here but they don't move around very much at all... ;)

Thanks to everyone that replied, i appreciate the info i will sit down and get familiar with the format of this site soon. I emailed Busse a few weeks ago regarding the new TGLB and in short they said to save my breathe and that they don't have any plans to bring it back any time soon , which wasn't very inspiring yet a good strategy to keep us all on edge.

Seeing as I've already started this thread i have another question regarding another knife, not a request for purchase but any anecdotal experience with the knife. I've had my eye on a Ruana 35B standard bowie, in fact they are currently making one and it will be ready early next year and i hope i have saved enough by then. This paticular knife has little to no reviews/customer reviews on the internet. Has anyone reading this ever owned this particular model or a Ruana bowie and general and have some praises/criticisms? I should and probably will make another forum regarding this Ruana but i figured i'd ask here anyway seeing as you guys are very helpful.

Cheers!

First of all welcome to the forum. Next, honestly and this is just my opinion, with the popularity of the recent version the TG that has been released, I would like to think (pray) that there is going to be another offering eventually of some version. Now who knows what that version may be. Personally I see it to be one of the best sellers Busse has offered, plus the fact it has brand recognition as well. You never know though, it may never again be released. Deep deep down I feel we will see it again. I would love to see some shiny metal as well. Not discounting the coating but I love the raw steel in what ever finish it may come in. So best of luck in your hunt and keep shopping. I have managed to get a nice user TGLB off the sales forum and I got to be honest, it has to be my favorite. The blade feels like it was designed using my hand as a template. Fits like a glove. Be positive and keep looking, they do pop up every now and then, but as said before, you got to be like a gun slinger and draw quick.

I've got one I'm going to be putting for sale here soon. I sent you an email, you have first dibs if you are interested.
