Hi guys,

I've been looking around for a while for a set of darker colored micarta scales for my BK2 (for a reasonable price), but have only come across a tan coloration. I'm a big fan of stained wood handles, mostly on Scandi knives, and I'd like something similar for my BK2. I've seen some really nice wood handles made by BK2 owners, but I'd prefer micarta for this knife.

Can anyone point me to some makers/sellers that I could get these scales from?

Thanks!

You can get darker brown micarta, but it's not going to have a pattern like wood grain. Have you considered stabilized wood?

Get the tan and stain them your self.
They get pretty dark with just a coat of oil,
A few coats of stain should do the trick.

You have to buy cross grain cut Double brown canvas for the wood like effect or get normal tan and stain it. Its hard to find.

I found a guy on here doing wood scales in a variety of woods. I settled on leopard wood for my BK-9

PM me and I send you his details if you want. Very reasonable prices. Not exactly what you asked for but maybe even better :)
