FOR NEW ON-LINE BASED SUBSCRIBER SUPPORTED 'PRACTICAL BLADES' MAGAZINE.

Coming soon to a monitor near you. We are looking for an experienced Editor\writer to head up a new project. This would be an online 'Cyber-Mag' available to subscribers only. This individual must be experienced in all aspects of practical modern edged tool usage in a variety of environments and situations. Must be able to speak clearly and honestly regarding his assesment of all manner of steels, blades, designs, etc. Must be able to put together a diverse editorial team to follow and report on current trends in knife design and usage among the GREAT and small of our society, both custom and production products. NOTE: MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL. Salary....ahhhh...we'll have to talk about it :D

Interested?

NOTE: ALL OF THE ABOVE IS A FACETIOUS POSTING OF A MAKE-BELIEVE POSITION THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. IT WAS WRITTEN AS A MILDLY HUMOROUS (maybe not)RESPONSE TO THE DISMISSING OF JEFF RANDALL FROM TACTICAL KNIVES MAGAZINE. THIS JOB DOES NOT EXIST AT THIS TIME, SORRY :(

I was just trying to suggest that there are ways that manufacturer-sponsored magazines can be avoided, much like the independent publication "GUN TESTS" who accept no advertising. Sorry for the confusion if there was any......back to the doghouse...sorry, maybe this was not so funny.

One possible solution to Jeff's dilemma. And it would give us a place to send our 'former' TAC-Knives subscription dollars :)

same old tired dog...

Mongrel

I'd love to do some field testing and write ups, I have some media manipulation background, also some technical writing experience.

I'd also love the exposure. :)

My fellow forumites, I humbly and sinerely apologize for the above posting. In hindsight, it was pretty stupid, and I owe at least one individual a very sincere email apology. I ask your forgiveness and understanding at this time.

What I attempted to do in a not-so humorous way now that I look at it, was to put forth the idea that a man with Jeff Randalls credentials has options as far as getting his writing out to us.

I believe the suggestion of a online subscriber only 'practical knife cyber-zine' does have merit, however I am not in anyway qualified to start one, nor am I in a position to do so at this time.

I would have edited\deleted the above post but it may have been more harmful than good. Obviously if the moderators think it is necessary, I am all for it.

I hope everyone here understands where I'm coming from. The last thing I intended was to put out FALSE ADVERTISING, yet I fear that is what I may have done.

I am truly sorry,

Mongrel

Mongrel, I understood what you were doing the instant I started reading your post. Your words may have been misunderstood by some, but I really don't think it is any big deal.

Hey, Mongrel! No harm done, IMHO! (and infinitely more entertaining than yet another "So what are you carrying today?" thread? Geeez, I HATE those.) At least YOURS was creative!
