I have been looking for a Perkins style knife at a reasonable price. The closest thing out there is the Browning Completion Knife but I am concern about the quality. I looked at customs but I want a practical knife that I can use. $1500 to $2000 is a little much to pay for a knife I am going to use ... in the woods.
For those unfamiliar with the term the Perkins Bowie was the knife Jim Bowie's brother Rezin had made after the sandbar fight. It is a straight topped (no false edge or swedge) blade about 9" to 10" with no guard.
Any one know a knife maker that can help?
