Wanted: "Scrap" Damascus steel pieces

Hello, gentlemen. I am a maker of miniture knives, and the other day I realized I was almost out of Damascus steel.

I was just wondering if any of you have some bits and pieces of Damascus laying around that are too small for your use. I'd of course be willing to pay you for them and reimburse you for shipping, etc.

I'm probably also going to contact some Damascus suppliers about very small billets for miniatures, too.
 
If you specofy metal type, and billet size(thickness), And pattern type, I may be interested in making billet for you. My end trimming I keep somday they'll be put in a canister with powdered metal for a completly random billet...I made a ring about 4 mm wide size 13 from some srap I had that was up in the 150 layer count hardened it polished it then etched it, it looks great through a jewlers loop... Bruce B, If you have a surplus of scrap pieces Carl Reichsteiner (Crex)would probably appreciate some. He makes some awesome miniatures and is one heck of a good guy.

That is what makes really cool Frontier style Damascus...:cool:
Sorry but I don't have any small pieces around,but next time I am welding maybe I can help you out with a small piece or two.
