Wanted. Someone to reproduce this knife

I like the knife, don't know why - very different, maybe it appeals to the rebel in me. Do you have one of the actual knives or just the photo? No promises, but send me an e-mail with a photo with better resolution and I will look at it. If that spine is really like a rasp, you're talking about something that will be tedious which translates into time. The time involved may make the cost prohibitive. No way would I try it in Talonite.

Hi Terry,

Welcome to the forums.

I could probably get more information and pictures on thes knives. The rear of the blade does have a rasp for about 2/3 of the blade length. If I remember correctly its about 4 or 5 teeth across a 3/8 blade thickness. You are not going to cut through wood with this, but, it works well at gnawing through frozen lines and the like.

This is the only 5 1/2" blade I have ever picked up that felt like it would be fun to chop with; and, unlike the Becker companion this is a relatively light knife. The original issued military knives tend to run a little soft. Perhaps someone can make a copy and correct that one key weakness?

Hmmmm. I think I'll pass on a duplicate. The rasp just sounds like too much of a headache. Think I will play with the design and come up with my own version just for the fun of it. Thanks.
