Wanted: thoughts on Converse tactical boots

I noticed on Brigade Quartermaster's Web site that they carry tactical boots by Converse. I've seen a couple of customer reviews of these boots elsewhere on the Web but I wonder if anyone here at BF owns a pair?

I would use them for light hiking, usually on established trails, so they wouldn't get a military-style workout.
